2017 MCC ConnectionsWest
Thank you to all our attendees and sponsors of this year's MCC ConnectionsWest!
The 2017 MCC ConnectionsWest show wraps in Vancouver, BC!
MCC ConnectionsWest has come to a close for 2017, and this year we enjoyed some fantastic speakers from a variety of industry backgrounds.
Electronic Logging Devices took centre stage with a lineup featuring U.S. and Canadian government officials offering regulatory insight. Also, we welcomed both a user and provider of ELD technology offering industry perspectives on how to maximize new technology to improve safety and return on investment. Human resource issues were also highlighted, such as fatigue management, employee recruitment and retention, and managing millennials. The Canada-U.S. border presents unique opportunities for operators across Canada and this year we took a close look at the trends, wait times, infrastructure improvements and legal issues related to the border, such as immigration law and cabotage.
Capping off the conference, MCC was pleased to introduce a new tool for industry that has generated quite a buzz – a tool to gather and share anonymous data on Key Performance Indicators. This customized tool will provide bus operators with metrics shared by industry peers to determine how you fare against the competition. Some are excited, others are hesitant, but there is no question this could change the way success is measured. MCC looks forward to continuing to preview this tool across Canada and at ongoing events for the industry.
Thank you to all our attendees and sponsors of this year’s MCC ConnectionsWest! We'll see you all at our next show - stay tuned for details!
